How the Pricing Model Works
The price is derived step by step from public market data. No guesswork, no black boxes.
Step 1 — Market price
Statistical market prices for the equivalent car are pulled from an established price database. The data is based on actual listings and completed sales for the same make, model and year.
Step 2 — Mileage adjustment
The reference point is 30,000 km per year. Lower mileage can add up to +30% of the price spread; higher mileage moves the price toward the statistical low. The formula is the same for every car.
Step 3 — Condition & equipment
Above-average wear lowers the price. Sought-after equipment (tow bar, winter wheels, premium packages) can raise it. Each adjustment is listed separately with its amount.
Reproducible result
The same inputs produce the same result — regardless of who runs the calculation. That is a prerequisite for the Swedish Tax Agency being able to review the underlying basis afterwards.
